L’affaire Thomas Sankara connaît un nouveau développement. Le Procureur Militaire près le Tribunal Militaire de Ouagadougou a informé, dans un communiqué de presse daté de ce 17 août 2021, que le procès des personnes mises en accusation dans l’affaire de l’assassinat du président Thomas Sankara et de ses douze compagnons s’ouvrira le lundi 11 octobre 2021 à partir de 9h.
“Cette audience de la Chambre de jugement, délocalisée dans la salle des Banquets de Ouaga 2000, est publique“, a précisé le communiqué.
Le dossier Thomas Sankara avait connu une évolution. Le Tribunal militaire a, le mardi 13 avril 2021, prononcé la mise en accusation de 14 personnes dont Blaise Compaoré, Gilbert Diendéré et Yacinthe Kafando.
L’ancien président du Faso, Blaise Compaoré, est poursuivi pour attentat à la sureté de l’Etat, complicité d’assassinat et de recel de cadavres dans le dossier. Quant au général Gilbert Diendéré, il a été mis en accusation pour attentat à la sureté de l’Etat, complicité d’assassinat, subornation de témoins et recel de cadavres.
Sont poursuivis pour assassinat, Nabonsouindé Ouédraogo, Idrissa Sawadogo, Yamba Elysée Ilboudo et Yancinthe Kafando. Le tribunal avait également maintenu les mandats d’arrêts lancés contre Blaise Compaoré et Yacinthe Kafando
