Gambie: Démarrage De La Campagne Électorale Ce, Mardi

Après le processus de dépôt de candidatures et de leur validation, place aujourd’hui au démarrage de la campagne électorale et c’est jusqu’à l’avant-veille du scrutin du 4 décembre. Les six candidats en lice sillonneront pendant les trois prochaines semaines l’ensemble des localités du pays pour exposer leurs programmes de campagne aux Gambiens. Le président sortant qui fait face à cinq candidats dont des figures connues de l’arène politique gambienne, est déjà entré de plain-pied. Il entame aujourd’hui sa campagne par l’étape de Barra, située sur la rive gauche de l’entrée de Banjul. Quant à Halifa Sallah, il visite aujourd’hui quelques quartiers de la capitale gambienne.

Pour rappel, la Commission électorale a validé, le week-end dernier, six candidats sur la vingtaine qui avait déposé leurs dossiers de candidature. Outre le président sortant, Adama BARROW, les opposants historiques, Oussainou DARBOE, Halifa SALLAH, un ex- transfuge du parti de Yahya JAMMEH, Mamma KANDEH et deux novices en politique, Essa FAAL qui a dirigé les enquêtes à la Commission de réconciliation et Abdoulie JAMMEH.
