Mali: Dr Cheikh Tidiane Gadio Désigné Envoyé Spécial De La Francophonie

La crise malienne préoccupe au premier lieu la communauté international. C’est dans ce cadre que le secrétaire général de la Francophonie a désigné Dr cheikh Tidiane Gadio comme Envoyé spécial au Mali.

Dans un communiqué qui nous est parvenus, Son Excellence Madame Louise Mushikiwabo a désigné « Son Excellence Monsieur Cheikh Tidiane Gadio, de la République du Sénégal, en qualité d’Envoyé spécial pour le suivi de la situation au Mali ».

Selon le document cette décision s’inscrit « dans le cadre de la résolution adoptée le 25 août par la 111ème session extraordinaire du Conseil permanent de la Francophonie (CPF), pour soutenir le processus de restauration des institutions démocratiques au Mali et contribuer à trouver des solutions de sortie de crise durables et crédibles prenant en considération les attentes des citoyens maliens ».

Dans cette nouvelle mission Dr Cheikh Tidiane Gadio va travailler « en étroite coordination avec les partenaires internationaux, tout principalement la CEDEAO et l’Union Africaine ». Il sera également « chargé d’appuyer la Secrétaire générale de la Francophonie dans l’accompagnement du processus de transition civile ».

L’Envoyé spécial va se mettre tout de sui au travail et va conduire dans les jour à venir « une mission de haut niveau à Bamako ». dans cette mission Dr Gadio sera accompagné « de Madame Nadia El Yousfi, Députée au Parlement bruxellois et au Parlement de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, membre du Bureau de la Commission des affaires parlementaires de l’Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF) et de son Excellence Monsieur Moha Ouali Tagma, Ambassadeur de Sa Majesté le Roi du Maroc auprès de la République fédérale du Nigéria et de la CEDEAO à Abuja ».

Dr. Cheikh Tidiane Gadio est ancien Ministre d’Etat, Ministre des Affaires étrangères de la République du Sénégal et actuellement Vice-président de l’Assemblée nationale. Il préside également l’Institut Panafricain de Stratégie Paix-Sécurité-Gouvernance (IPS).
