Par conséquent, explique la note, « Demain mercredi, 12 mai 2021 sera le 1er jour du mois de Chawwal. »
Se basant sur les données scientifiques, le Conseil Français du Culte Musulman (CFCM) a décidé cette année de fixer à l’avance la date de l’Aïd el Fitr au jeudi 13 mai 2021. Selon les explications des scientifiques, le croissant lunaire ne sera pas visible le mardi 11 mai au soir dans pratiquement aucun endroit du monde. Il sera en revanche visible dans tout le monde musulman, dans le continent américain et africain, dans toute l’Europe et en France au soir du 12 mai.
