Le 6 février 2020, l’Afrique enregistrait son premier cas testé positif au nouveau coronavirus en Égypte. Même si le continent a pu déjouer les scénarios les plus pessimistes, il a fini de voir les 54 États qui le composent être «contaminés». Il s’agit des Seychelles et de l’île Maurice. Le Sénégal compte 2.812 cas testés positifs, le plaçant à la 10ème position sur le continent noir
