Port De Dakar: Des Munitions De Guerre Saisies Par La Douane

Après la drogue, la Douane a intercepté au Port de Dakar des munitions de guerre d’une valeur de plus de 3 milliards de Fcfa.

“La Douane sénégalaise a arraisonné un navire transportant trois conteneurs chargés de munitions de guerre. Ledit navire, dénommé EOLIKA et battant pavillon guyanais avait déclaré être en avitaillement au port de Dakar », renseigne un communiqué.

“Alertés par l’absence de documents fiables de navigation et de transport maritime, mais surtout par les incohérences des déclarations du Capitaine du navire, les agents de la Subdivision maritime des Douanes, notamment ceux de la Brigade portuaire, renforcés par les agents en service à l’Umcc (Unité mixte de contrôle des conteneurs), ont décidé de procéder à la fouille et au contrôle de la cargaison. L’opération a permis la découverte de trois conteneurs remplis de divers types de munitions », ajoute le texte.

La Douane estime la valeur totale des cartouches saisies à « plus de trois milliards de francs CFA sur le marché intérieur ». La note poursuit : « Pour mener les opérations de dépotage, d’écore et d’évaluation de la cargaison dans les conditions sécuritaires requises en matière d’armes et d’explosifs, la Subdivision maritime des Douanes a travaillé, dans une parfaite synergie d’actions, avec les unités spécialisées de la Brigade nationale des Sapeurs-pompiers, l’Unité Nedex (Neutralisation, enlèvement et destruction des explosifs) de l’Armée nationale, la Gendarmerie nationale et les services compétents du Port autonome de Dakar.”

Quatre Ukrainiens arrêtés sont actuellement placés en garde à vue. Il s’agit des nommés Dovhuk Vitaly, Podgorodetskyi Volodymyr, Theofore Relos et Trofimov Vadym.
