Pour venir en aide aux ménages les plus démunis du département de Podor en cette ère du COVID19, Messieurs Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo et Cheikh Oumar Anne respectivement ministre des finances et du budget et ministre de l’enseignement supérieur de la recherche et de l’innovation ont mis à la disposition des populations deux cent cinquante tonnes de riz. Dix de ces tonnes furent livrées à Podor. Aujourd’hui, la distribution de ces denrées fait l’objet d’une vive polémique.
En effet Monsieur Cheikh Ahmed Tidiane Ly, par ailleurs président du mouvement Are Fouta, accuse Madame Amy Seck Gaye chargée de mission du ministre Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo d’avoir tenu une réunion chez elle et procédé au partage du riz sans aucune commission. Il ajoute que plus de sept imams ont été zappés dans la distribution de ces denrées par Amy et son équipe.
Selon notre interlocuteur il s’agit de deux imams de la mosquées du quartier de Bir Podor, trois imams du quartier de Lao Demba, un imam des HLM et Khar Yalla. Pour M. Ly si aujourd’hui certaines familles démunies ont été laissées en rade dans cette distribution, c’est à cause du maire de la ville Podor qui a ordonné au conseil municipal de ne pas réceptionner le riz pour des raisons politiques.
Quant à l’accusée Mme Gaye la distribution est faite dans la plus grande transparence, en présence de toutes les parties prenantes. Les présidents des associations sportives et culturelles, les représentants des quartiers excepté de Bir Podor, et le président du conseil départemental de la jeunesse étaient au rendez-vous. Elle qualifie les propos de M Ly de diffamatoires et non fondés. Avant de faire savoir que ce dernier convoqué en réunion n’a pas répondu présent.
Elle explique: » tous les six quartiers de Podor ont reçu chacun trente trois tonnes de riz conformément à la décision prise par l’assemblée générale tenue chez elle le 14 avril 2020.
Hamedine Mbodji un autre résident de Podor estime que cette denrée est distribuée équitablement à tous les ayants droit, sans aucune discrimination ou calcul politicien. Pour lui » Cheikh Ameth Tidiane Ly, insatisfait du travail abattu par la chargée de mission du ministre, pour des intérêts politiques, a préféré dénigrer la Dame Gaye.
Il y’a quelques semaines le ministre du Développement communautaire et de l’Équité sociale et territoriale Mansour Faye alertait : ‘’Toute personne impliquée dans la gestion des ressources du Fonds de riposte et de solidarité contre les effets du Covid-19 répondra de sa gestion.
Le ministre a tenu a rassuré que le partage des denrées destinées à soulager les un million de ménages bénéficiaires se fera en présence de l’administration territoriale, aidée des forces de sécurité (gendarmerie, armée et police).
Pour rappel, ces deux cent cinquante tonnes de riz ont été envoyés par leurs chefs de cabinets M. Kalidou Kane et M.Bouna Ba le 10 avril dernier pour soutenir les familles démunies des 22 communes du département.
