COVID-19 au Sénégal : Ce qui anéantit l’espoir d’une sortie de crise…

La pandémie continue de se propager au Sénégal avec une croissance accélérée des nouveaux cas dûs surtout à une importe augmentation du nombre de tests effectués par jour (triplé voire quadruplé). Ceci a pour conséquence, un nombre de patients sous traitement ayant plus que triplé en une semaine, passant de 182 à 557 patients entre le 22 avril et aujourd’hui le 29 avril. Sur la même période le taux de guérison est passé de 57,2% à 35,7% soit une régression de 21,5 points. Notons également que le nombre de décès a augmenté de 50%, passant de 6 à 9 décès enregistrés. Ce qui est inquiétant, 3 patients sont morts chez eux!
Recommandations:
Dans ce contexte marqué par un nombre de cas communautaires ayant plus que doublé en une semaine ( 47 et 98 cas respectivement le 22 avril et le 29 avril),
ce qui semble anéantir tout espoir d’une sortie rapide de crise, le taux de contamination est élevé au Sénégal. Du fait de la vitesse de contamination des cas communautaires, les mesures préventives doivent être renforcées.
Ainsi l’État et les services compétents doivent établir une nouvelle stratégie de lutte contre le Covid-19, basée sur un durcissement des mesures ( faire payer cher tous ceux qui violeront la moindre mesure)mais également une application stricte et rigoureuse de ces mesures. Le cas importé de la semaine montre la vulnérabilité de nos frontières. Sur ce, l’état doit être intransigeant en mettant par tout des hommes armés. Tout patient qui avait effectué un déplacement clandestin doit être poursuivi après guérison.
Par ailleurs, j’invite les populations au respect scrupuleux des gestes barrières et des mesures de prévention. J’invite également l’état du Sénégal de mettre en quarantaine les personnes âgées. Restons chez nous autant que possible pour nous protèger et protéger nos proches, particulièrement les personnes âgées qui en sont les plus vulnérables.
