Suite à la constatation de documents faisant état d’une augmentation du prix du transport dans la région de Dakar, le ministre Omar YOUM, à travers un communiqué appelle les transporteurs au respect des dispositions prises par la loi.
COMMUNIQUE DE PRESSE
Des documents relatifs à une augmentation des tarifs des transports urbains par autocars dans la Région de Dakar, qui semblent émaner de certains membres de l’Association de Financement des Transports urbains de Dakar (AFTU), sont diffusés dans la presse.
A cet égard, le Ministère des Infrastructures, des Transports terrestres et du Désenclavement rappelle que les tarifs des transports publics routiers de personnes sont fixés par le décret n° 2009-20 du 22 janvier 2009.
Ainsi, le Ministère chargé des Transports terrestres informe les usagers qu’aucune augmentation des tarifs de transport n’a été discutée encore moins arrêtée avec les opérateurs.
En conséquence, toute hausse unilatérale des tarifs serait contraire au décret précité et aux conventions signées entre l’autorité de régulation des transports urbains, le Conseil exécutif des Transports urbains de Dakar (CETUD) et les Groupements d’Intérêts économiques membres de l’AFTU.
Toute augmentation des tarifs constituerait une infraction à la règlementation sur les tarifs de transport routier, notamment la loi n° 94-63 du 22 août 1994 sur les prix, la concurrence et le contentieux économique.
Le Ministère exhorte les opérateurs à veiller à l’application stricte de la règlementation sur les tarifs et se réserve le droit de prononcer à l’encontre de tout contrevenant les sanctions prévues par la règlementation en vigueur.
Il invite, également, les Forces de sécurité, chargées du contrôle routier, à veiller strictement au respect des tarifs actuels.
