L’ambassadrice de Suisse au Sénégal, Marion Weichelt Krupsski, a été convoquée mercredi au ministère des Affaires étrangères et des Sénégalais de l’Extérieur, pour s’expliquer sur le ’’caractère inacceptable’’ de propos de son époux contenus dans un article publié dans la presse suisse.
Dans un communiqué, le ministère des Affaires étrangères indique qu’il « a été clairement notifié au diplomate le caractère inacceptable des propos de son conjoint’’, lesquels constituent « une violation flagrante des principes élémentaires de courtoisie et de non immixtion dans les affaires intérieures » de l’Etat accréditant.
Selon le communiqué, ces principes « doivent guider, au quotidien, et en toute circonstance, le comportement d’un Chef de poste diplomatique et des membres de sa famille, conformément aux dispositions pertinentes de la Convention de Vienne du 18 avril 1961 sur les relations diplomatiques ».
Le communiqué note qu’il a été par conséquent « indiqué à Mme l’ambassadeur que de tels écarts ne sauraient être tolérés à l’avenir ».
Toujours est-il que le gouvernement du Sénégal renouvelle par la même occasion « sa volonté de poursuivre avec le Gouvernement de la Suisse les relations d’amitié et de coopération qui ont toujours prévalu entre les deux pays, dans le respect et la confiance mutuels ».
