Les 100 ans D’Amadou Mohkar Mbow, Célébré Le 20 Mars Prochain

Le 20 mars 2021 marque le centième anniversaire de Monsieur Amadou Mahtar Mbow, ancien Ministre du Sénégal, ancien Directeur général de l’UNESCO, ancien Président des Assises nationales, ancien Président de la Commission nationale de réforme des institutions, entre
autres.

Pour rendre hommage à ce Trésor Humain Vivant, cet enseignant émérite, grand fils du Sénégal et de l’Afrique, doublé de militant infatigable des causes de libération, de solidarité entre les peuples, de démocratie, de droits de l’homme, de justice et d’égalité des peuples, le Comité de célébration du Centenaire organisera plusieurs événements.

C’est dans ce cadre que, le 20 mars 2021, auront lieu à Dakar, au Musée des Civilisations Noires, la tenue d’un colloque international et le vernissage d’une exposition qui seront consacrés à la vie et à l’œuvre du Professeur Amadou Mahtar Mbow. Les activités se dérouleront en mixte, présentiel et dématérialisé (webinaires).

Le Colloque traitera des trois thèmes suivants:
•Amadou Mahtar Mbow, l’Éducateur émérite
•Amadou Mahtar Mbow, le Visionnaire : actualité du Nouvel Ordre Mondial de
l’information et de la Communication (NOMIC) et du consensus
•Amadou Mahtar Mbow, permanence d’un engagement politique et citoyen.

Le vernissage marquera le début d’une exposition itinérante à travers le pays et le monde au cours de la période du 20 mars 2021 à mars 2022. La première étape sera le Musée des civilisations noires du 20 mars au 20 avril 2021. Cette exposition sera, ensuite, reversée aux fonds documentaires de la future « Fondation Amadou Mahtar Mbow ».

La Commémoration du centenaire de Monsieur Amadou Mahtar Mbow sera placée sous le haut patronage de Son Excellence Monsieur Macky Sall, Président de la République, et verra la participation d’autres Chefs d’État et anciens Chefs d’État amis de Monsieur Mbow, de même que de hautes personnalités politiques et scientifiques nationales et internationales.

Compte tenu de la pandémie du coronavirus, la célébration, le 20 mars 2021, du centenaire du Monsieur Amadou Mahtar Mbow se déroulera dans le plus strict respect des conditions sanitaires prévalant au moment de l’événement, sous la supervision des techniciens du Ministère de la santé et de l’Action Sociale.
