Le procureur a souhait\u00e9, en revanche, la relaxe des deux sages-femmes remises en libert\u00e9 d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de l\u2019enqu\u00eate, lesquelles ont comparu libres devant la juridiction.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le tribunal a rejet\u00e9 la demande de libert\u00e9 provisoire introduite par les avocats des quatre sages-femmes plac\u00e9es en d\u00e9tention pr\u00e9ventive. Le proc\u00e8s ouvert le 27 avril avait ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 renvoy\u00e9 \u00e0 ce jeudi en raison d\u2019une requ\u00eate introduite par la partie civile, qui arguait n\u2019avoir pas eu acc\u00e8s au dossier.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cette affaire judiciaire est partie du d\u00e9c\u00e8s en couches d\u2019Astou Sokhna, le 1er avril, \u00e0 la maternit\u00e9 de l\u2019h\u00f4pital Amadou-Sakhir-Mbaye de Louga. Sa famille estime qu\u2019une n\u00e9gligence du personnel de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement public de sant\u00e9 est \u00e0 l\u2019origine de sa mort.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gr\u00e8ve g\u00e9n\u00e9rale<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arriv\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital, Astou Sokhna avait attendu en vain, pendant plusieurs heures, pour subir une c\u00e9sarienne. Son \u00e9poux a d\u00e9pos\u00e9 une plainte aupr\u00e8s du procureur de la R\u00e9publique de Louga pour non-assistance \u00e0 personne en danger.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019enqu\u00eate judiciaire sur sa mort a d\u00e9bouch\u00e9 sur l\u2019inculpation de six sages-femmes et la d\u00e9tention pr\u00e9ventive de quatre d\u2019entre elles, depuis le 19 avril.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les circonstances du d\u00e9c\u00e8s de cette femme d\u2019une trentaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es ont suscit\u00e9 une vive indignation au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 a envoy\u00e9 une mission d\u2019enqu\u00eate administrative \u00e0 Louga, qui a d\u00e9bouch\u00e9 sur des mesures conservatoires prises \u00e0 l\u2019encontre de certains employ\u00e9s de l\u2019h\u00f4pital Amadou-Sakhir-Mbaye. Le 13 avril, le directeur de cet \u00e9tablissement de sant\u00e9, Amadou Gu\u00e8ye Diouf, a \u00e9t\u00e9 limog\u00e9 et remplac\u00e9 par Abdallah Gu\u00e8ye, un administrateur hospitalier.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Louga, plusieurs syndicats de travailleurs de la sant\u00e9 ont tenu un sit-in pour d\u00e9noncer les mesures conservatoires prises \u00e0 l\u2019encontre de certains employ\u00e9s de l\u2019h\u00f4pital.
