Premi\u00e8re personnalit\u00e9 d\u2019origine africaine \u00e0 diriger une grande entreprise de sport professionnel en France (Olympique de Marseille), Pape Diouf est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 mardi soir des suites de coronavirus. Co-fondateur de MediaSchool Marseille \u00e0 ses derniers jours, son d\u00e9part endeuille tout le sport business international.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riche d’un parcours atypique, Pape Diouf \u00e9tait dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de Sciences-Po Aix-en-Provence. D’abord journaliste sportif, il endosse ensuite la casquette d’agents de joueurs. Il jouera un r\u00f4le important dans l’am\u00e9lioration du management des joueurs, notamment africains, dans l’Hexagone. Lorsqu’il accepte la pr\u00e9sidence de l’Olympique de Marseille en 2004, il travaille sans rel\u00e2che pour porter haut le club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bien que sa mission prenne fin en 2009, Pape Diouf restera comme dans l’ombre de l’OM. Il passe \u00e0 une nouvelle \u00e9chelle en co-fondant MediaSchool Marseille pour outiller les jeunes au m\u00e9tier de journaliste. Mais le Franco-s\u00e9n\u00e9galais reste tr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s du monde sportif. En 2012, lors d’une conf\u00e9rence annuelle de l’IRIS o\u00f9 il intervient sur les enjeux strat\u00e9giques du sport, Pape Diouf \u00e9voque la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de \u00ab red\u00e9finir la mondialisation \u00bb, estimant que \u00ab la mondialisation du sport […] n’a pas servi l’Afrique \u00bb, occasionnant la \u00ab fuite de talents \u00e0 un \u00e2ge toujours plus pr\u00e9coce \u00bb vers les clubs europ\u00e9ens et appauvrissant \u00ab fortement \u00bb les championnats locaux africains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
