Nana Akufo Addo, le pr\u00e9sident du Ghana, est le nouveau pr\u00e9sident en exercice de la\u00a0CEDEAO. Il remplace Mahamadou Issoufou du Niger. Dans un tweet, le chef de l\u2019Etat s\u00e9n\u00e9galais, Macky Sall, a adress\u00e9 ses v\u0153ux de succ\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019entrant et ses f\u00e9licitations au pr\u00e9sident sortant.<\/p>\n

Issoufou a pr\u00e9sid\u00e9 ce lundi, 7 septembre 2020, la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie officielle d\u2019ouverture de la 57\u00e9me session ordinaire de la Conf\u00e9rence des chefs d\u2019Etat et de gouvernement de cette organisation r\u00e9gionale. Il s\u2019agit du premier somment en pr\u00e9sentiel depuis le d\u00e9but de la pand\u00e9mie de Covid-19. La situation au Mali reste au c\u0153ur des pr\u00e9occupations de l\u2019organisation. Dans son intervention \u00e0 l\u2019ouverture de la s\u00e9ance, le pr\u00e9sident sortant a r\u00e9it\u00e9r\u00e9 la sommation d\u00e9j\u00e0 adress\u00e9 \u00e0 la junte d\u2019organiser dans les plus brefs d\u00e9lais la transition.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Il est du devoir de la communaut\u00e9 d\u2019assister les Maliens en vue d\u2019un r\u00e9tablissement rapide de toutes les institutions d\u00e9mocratiques. La junte militaire doit nous aider \u00e0 aider le Mali\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il affirm\u00e9. Rappelant que le Mali fait actuellement l\u2019objet d\u2019un blocus de la part de la CEDEAO, conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la charte de l\u2019organisation afin de demander \u00e0 la junte militaire de regagner les casernes et la mise en place d\u2019une transition, d\u2019une dur\u00e9e de douze mois maximum, dirig\u00e9e par des civils\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9\u00e9lu en juin 2019, pour un mandat d\u2019un an, Issoufou s\u2019\u00e9tait engag\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0accorder une grande priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019unit\u00e9 r\u00e9gionale, \u00e0 la consolidation des institutions d\u00e9mocratiques et l\u2019int\u00e9gration \u00e9conomique de nos Etats\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Par contre, dans un rapport analysant \u00e0 la loupe l\u2019ensemble des pays d\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest, le centre d\u2019\u00e9tude et de recherche, Afrikajom center, a recommand\u00e9 l\u2019organisation d\u2019un sommet de la CEDEAO r\u00e9serv\u00e9 \u00e0 la limitation des mandats pr\u00e9sidentiels \u00e0 deux pour tous les Etats membres de la sous-r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
