Contrairement aux députés de la majorité, ceux du Grand Parti vont voter tout projet (ndlr : proposition) de loi pour la criminalisation de l’homosexualité au Sénégal. «Nous resterons toujours en phase avec le peuple et les forces vives qui militent pour cette perspective. Le Grand Parti défendra le Sénégal éternel dans les valeurs, l’éthique et la morale conformément aux principes de notre système de valeurs et de notre vision du Sénégal de demain.

A cet égard, les députés membres de notre formation politique vont engager des discussions avec leurs collègues afin que cette proposition de loi soit portée par tous les députés de la coalition Yewwi Askan Wi», écrit son porte-parole, le Prof Elhadji Diawara repris par le quotidien Les Echos.
