Impact De La Covid-19 Sur L’Industrie Touristique Sénégalaise, Mamadou Racine Sy Tire La Sonnette D’Alarme

À la suite d’une réunion sectorielle qu’ils ont tenue ce mardi matin au King fahd place, les acteurs du secteur du tourisme et de l’hôtellerie se sont prononcés sur l’état de la situation économique de l’hôtellerie et du tourisme fortement impactée par la covid-19.

Selon Mamadou Racine Sy, rien ne va plus dans le secteur de l’hôtellerie et globalement dans celui du tourisme, a alerté Mamadou Racine Sy ce mardi, en présence des principaux acteurs du secteur de l’industrie touristique sénégalaise, il a tiré la sonnette d’alarme face aux ravages de la pandémie qui tue à petit feu le milieu : « notre chiffre d’affaires a été divisé par 10… Des hôtels qui faisaient un milliard par mois sont à moins de 100 millions ».

D’après Racine Sy, président de la fédération des organisations patronales de l’industrie touristique au Sénégal et dans l’espace UEMOA, « il y aura pas une relance du secteur avant 2023… ». Mr Sy qui n’a pas manqué de saluer les efforts de l’État du Sénégal avec l’octroi d’un crédit hôtelier de 15 milliards FCFA notamment.

Un aperçu des nombreuses pertes subies dans le domaine touristique freiné par la pandémie. Sans recettes, il est logiquement difficile de maintenir tout le personnel en plus d’assurer le fonctionnement des structures concernées a expliqué Racine Sy.
