Mondial Beach Soccer : Le Sénégal Bat Le Brésil Et Se Qualifie En Demi-finale

Après une phase de poules bien maitrisée malgré une défaite lors du 3e match face à l’Oman, le Sénégal commence le plus sérieux avec les matches à élimination directe.

Ce jeudi, les Lions de la Téranga croisent le Brésil, un des grands favoris et recordman de titre au Mondial de Beach soccer. Le Sénégal, qui aspire au titre suprême, regardera les Brésiliens dans les yeux pour se qualifier en demi-finale.

En matches de poule, le Sénégal a battu l’Uruguay, puis du Portugal avant de connaitre une défaite face à l’Oman. Les coéquipiers de Raoul Mendy, meilleur buteur de l’équipe (5 buts), sont bien conscients qu’ils n’ont plus le droit à l’erreur s’ils souhaitent atteindre leur premier objectif.

Un défaite et c’est la fin de l’aventure et du rêve de franchir l’obstacle des quarts de finale. Avec ses 14 titres mondiaux, le Brésil part logiquement favori dans cette rencontre face à un Sénégal qui n’a jamais gouté à une demi-finale de Coupe du Monde. L’adversaire est certes très redoutable mais les Lions ont bel et bien une carte à jouer jusqu’au bout
