Can 2022 : Le stage des Lions Au Rwanda Annulé Par La FSF

L’équipe nationale de football du Sénégal n’ira finalement pas au stage de préparation de la CAN 2022, prévu du 31 décembre 2021 au 07 janvier 2022 à Kigali (Rwanda.) Pour cause, la mesure controversée prise par la FIFA qui, de concert avec la CAF, a autorisé une dérogation aux clubs de football, leur permettant de retenir les footballeurs internationaux africains jusqu’au 03 janvier 2022.

Conséquence, la préparation de plusieurs sélections nationales sera chamboulée. C’est le cas du Sénégal qui pourrait être privé de ses trois gardiens de but (Édouard Mendy (Chelsea), Alfred Gomis (Rennes) et Siny Dieng (QPR) en plus de sa star Sadio Mané sans oublier Ismaïla Sarr et Cheikhou Kouyaté.
D’où la décision de la Fédération Sénégalaise de Football qui a publié un communiqué, de revenir sur le planning de préparation des Lions :

 » La FSF avait prévu de dérouler la première partie de préparation de son équipe à la CAN Cameroun 2021 au Rwanda du 31 décembre 2021 au 6 janvier2022. La FSF a été informée de l’accord entre la FIFA et la CAF de laisser aux clubs européens en compétition la possibilité de disposer de leurs joueurs convoqués en équipe nationale en perspective de la CAN jusqu’au 03 janvier 2022. Compte tenu de cette nouvelle donne, le Comité d’Urgence de la Fédération Sénégalaise de Football a décidé de surseoir au camp d’entrainement des Lions qui était prévu à Kigali du 1er au 06 janvier 2022. »

Du coup Aliou Cissé et ses Lions resteront au Sénégal pour peaufiner leurs armes, précisément entre le Radisson Blu de Diamniadio et le stade Lat Dior de Thiès. « L’équipe nationale effectuera sa première phase de préparation à domicile du 27 décembre au 4 janvier 2022 avant de rallier Bafoussam (Cameroun), informe la FSF.
