Des Hôpitaux au Sénégal, Bornes Fontaines, les agents d’accueil mis en cause

La qualité des services au niveau des hôpitaux au Sénégal a longtemps été déplorée par les patients. En ces temps de crise, cette situation ne rassure pas les senegalais. Dès l’accueil, le patient est confronté à une panoplie de péripéties, communication peu claire ou inexistante, les mots déplacés des agents qui souvent sont sur whatsapp ou trop pris dans des papoteries de bornes fontaines. 

Cette situation fait qu’aujourd’hui l’admission d’un individu dans un établissement sanitaire est cauchemardesque pour lui et ses proches.

Une visite effectuée, dans trois hôpitaux de Dakar nous a permis de rencontrer quelques patients qui n’ont pas manqué de décrier le comportement des agents, spécialement celui des services d’accueil des hôpitaux.

Certaines personnes choisissent comme métier d’aider ceux qui souffrent.Hélas, après leur formation elles voient ce choix différemment. Elles traitent les malades qui arrivent comme des mendiants qui demandent des faveurs, clame Aida, une dame dans la trentaine avec un état de grossesse avancé, trouvée en face d’un des hôpitaux de la place.  

Anne Marie elle, ajoute : »  je cherche un rendez-vous avec le gynécologue,  mais je peine à avoir une réponse de la part des agents de l’accueil et de l’orientation. Au lieu d’aider les patients elles sont tout le temps entrain de parler sur whatsapp ou de discuter entre eux. C’est très enervant. Je comprends pourquoi certaines personnes choisissent le privé »

Venue vacciné son fils, Mamy parle d’abus de pouvoir « fii lou fii way eupélé wonelakko » Ce comportement est général, les agents vous crient dessus et vous humilient. Quand j’accouchais de mon fils j’ai vu des sages femmes adresser des paroles grossières à une patiente qui était à côté. Une chose qui ne relève pas du professionnalisme.

Mbéne tente de nous expliquer ce manque de professionnalisme des agents d’accueil : » je pense que c’est dû au manque d’éducation dans nos écoles et au sein de la famille. Avant de recruter une personne dans des structures de santé il faudrait la former, notamment sur le respect de l’humain. Un malade doit être considéré et respecté car un bon accueil peut soulager une personne qui souffre.
