Présidentielle au Niger : La Commission Électorale Annonce Un Second Tour En Février

La Commission électorale nationale indépendante du Niger a annoncé, samedi, les résultats du premier tour de la présidentielle. Un second tour sera nécessaire en février pour départager Mohamed Bazoum, arrivé en tête, et l’ancien président Mahamane Ousmane.

Un second tour sera nécessaire au Niger. La Commission électorale nationale indépendante (Céni) a annoncé, samedi 2 janvier, que Mohamed Bazoum était arrivé en tête devant l’ancien président Mahamane Ousmane, lors de l’élection présidentielle du dimanche 27 décembre.

Mohamed Bazoum est arrivé en tête du premier tour avec 39,33 % des voix contre 17 % pour Mahamane Ousmane, a précisé la commission. L’écart est insuffisant pour proclamer un vainqueur et un second tour sera donc nécessaire en février pour les départager.

Ancien ministre de l’Intérieur et bras droit du président sortant Mahamadou Issoufou, Mohamed Bazoum, qui espérait une victoire dès le premier tour, devra donc chercher des alliances avant le 2e tour le 20 février dans ce pays pauvre du Sahel marqué par des coups d’tat et en proie à des attaques jihadistes récurrentes.

Le taux de participation du scrutin est de 69,67%, avec 5,2 millions de votants sur 7,4 millions d’électeurs inscrits (pour une population de 23 millions d’habitants), selon ces résultats qui doivent être validés par la Cour constitutionnelle.

Les anciens Premiers ministres Seini Oumarou, troisième, et Albadé Abouba, quatrième, obtiennent respectivement 8,95 % et 7,07 % des suffrages, devant l’ancien ministre des Affaires étrangères Ibrahim Yacouba, cinquième avec 5,38 % des voix.  L’autre ancien président en lice, Salou Djibo, est arrivé sixième avec 2,99 % de suffrages.
