Présidentielle Au Bénin: Des Routes Bloquées Perturbent Le déploiement Du Matériel Électoral

L’élection présidentielle se tiendra demain, dimanche 11 avril, au Bénin. À moins de 24 heures du scrutin, le blocage des voies par les manifestants anti-Talon perturbe l’acheminement du matériel électoral vers les bureaux de vote du nord du pays. Des camions ont été bloqués. Pourtant, le matériel doit être en place rapidement pour accueillir les électeurs dès 7h, dimanche matin. C’est une course contre la montre qui commence.

Ces derniers jours, la campagne a été marquée par des tensions et des violences, des mouvements de contestation qui auraient fait deux morts et des blessés dans le centre du pays, à Savè mais il n’y a aucun bilan officiel. Le président Patrice Talon brigue un deuxième mandat. Il fera face à deux adversaires, mais les grandes figures de l’opposition n’ont pas pu se présenter.

Seize camions, au total, transportaient le matériel électoral pour le nord du pays mais dans la nuit de vendredi à ce samedi 10 avril, aucun n’était arrivé à destination. Pourtant, ils avaient bien pris la route, les uns par l’est du Bénin, les autres par l’ouest. Le voyage sera très vite interrompu par les manifestations violentes et les barricades.

Traîner, rester coincé dans les files de voitures était risqué. Le matériel transporté est sensible et il sert à un vote dont l’affiche est contestée. Du coup, les seize camions ont fait demi-tour et, par sécurité, ils sont en stationnement dans une garnison, à 200 km de Cotonou et à 50 km  de Savè.

Les routes sont toujours entravées par des troncs d’arbres, des pneus, des camions et des pavés. Aussi, deux options sont sur la table, à savoir reprendre la route mais à condition que l’armée lève rapidement toutes les barrières ou bien tout convoyer par avion.
