Initialement prévues en juin passée, les deux premières journées sont reportées en septembre. A un mois de ces joutes pour Qatar 2022, le stade Lat Dior est toujours dans l’attente d’être homologué. Sur la nouvelle liste de la CAF, il est indiqué que le stade du Sénégal devra être inspecté d’abord.
Sur ce nouveau rapport, les stade du Sénégal, du Cap Vert, de la Guinée-Bissau, du Liberia, de Madagascar, du Malawi, du Soudan sont sur la liste des infrastructures à inspecter.
Les pays suivants n’ont pas de stades homologués: Burkina Faso, Centrafrique, Djibouti, Mali, Namibie, Niger. Au total, 66 stades de 25 pays sont homologués
