Eliminatoires Mondial 2022 : Le Stade Lat Dior Finalement Homologué Par La CAF

Après avoir avoir inspecté de nouveau le Stade Lat Dior de Thiès, la Confédération africaine de football (CAF) a donné son verdict pour la réception des matches d’éliminatoires de la Coupe du monde 2022 au Stade Lat Dior. Comme vient de le rapporter le ministère des Sports togolais, la CAF confirme que le match Sénégal Togo se jouera bien à Thiès.

Le Stade Lat Dior de Thiès, qui accueille les matches de l’équipe du Sénégal depuis mars 2019, vient de recevoir l’homologation de la CAF pour la réception du Togo. En effet, ce match se déroulera à Thiès le 1er septembre 2021, à 16 heures GMT. L’information a été dévoilée par le ministère des Sports togolais.

Une très bonne nouvelle pour les autorités sénégalaises, qui vont pousser un ouf de soulagement. Il faut rappeler qu’il y a quelques mois, la non homologation du Stade Lat Dior avait créé un tollé chez le monde du football sénégalais.

Il aura donc fallu la réfection des toilettes et autres travaux dans l’enceinte pour que la Caf valide le stade thiessois, qui remplace le Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor, annoncé en réfection
