Le président du Conseil départemental de Podor (Nord), Mamadou Dia, a remis samedi un lot de matériel sanitaire aux districts sanitaires de Pété, Podor et à l’hôpital de Ndioum.
Le matériel est composé de thermo flashs, masques, gels hydro-alcooliques, de lavoirs pour les mains.
Le directeur de hôpital de Ndioum, Samba Guèye, a magnifié le geste du président, qui selon lui, vient, pour la troisième fois, ’’au secours des structures sanitaires du département, en cette période de pandémie qui frappe durement le pays’’.
Ce don vient à son heure au moment où le département vient d’enregistrer deux cas de Covid-19 respectivement à Pété et à Ndioum, a t-il dit.
’’Le matériel que nous venons de réceptionner permettra de protéger le personnel de santé et les populations, mais aussi de mieux renforcer la lutte contre la pandémie du coronavirus grâce au port de masques’’, a ajouté M. Guèye.
Il a profité de l’occasion pour inviter les populations au respect des gestes barrières notamment le port de masque, le lavage des mains, la distanciation physique.
