Les cartes d’électeur issues de la dernière révision exceptionnelle des listes électorales, envoyées aux autorités administratives locales (Préfets et Sous-préfets), sont disponibles auprès des commissions de distribution installées dans les différentes communes du pays.
Les informations communiquées à la CENA par ses représentants sur le terrain révèlent que la distribution desdites cartes, qui a démarré depuis le 8 décembre 2021 sur l’ensemble du territoire national, s’effectue normalement, mais on note un taux de retrait relativement faible.
Face à cette situation, la CENA invite les populations concernées à se mobiliser davantage pour le retrait de leurs cartes, seul document en mesure de leur permettre d’accomplir leur devoir de citoyen à l’occasion des élections territoriales du dimanche 23 janvier 2022.
La CENA tient à préciser qu’à ce stade du processus électoral, et conformément à ses attributions légales, elle procède au contrôle de la distribution de ces cartes d’électeur, en application de l’article L.11 tiret 5 du Code électoral qui dispose : Les attributions de la CENA sont les suivantes : « …superviser et contrôler l’impression, la distribution et la conservation des cartes d’électeur ; la CENA est informée de tout le processus d’appel à concurrence et de commande des cartes d’électeur ; un contrôleur, nommé par elle, est présent de droit dans toute commission ou structure chargée de fabriquer, de ventiler et de distribuer des cartes d’électeur… ».
