L’Association des maîtres coraniques de la région de Louga, par la voix de son porte-parole, Ibrahima Dramé, a appelé les pouvoirs publics à œuvrer à l’amélioration de la qualité de l’accueil et au relèvement des plateaux techniques des établissements sanitaires du pays.
« Nous demandons à l’Etat du Sénégal d’appuyer davantage les hôpitaux et de travailler à améliorer la qualité d’accueil et à relever les plateaux techniques des établissements sanitaires sénégalais », a-t-il notamment déclaré.
Intervenant jeudi à un point de presse organisé par cette association en réaction au décès en couches de la patiente Astou Sokhna à l’hôpital de Louga, Dramé a invité les autorités étatiques à faire la lumière sur cette affaire.
Une polémique est née suite au décès de la dame âgée d’une trentaine d’années au centre hospitalier régional Amadou Sakhir Mbaye de Louga, sa famille pointant du doigt la négligence du personnel médical.
La dame avait été admise dans cet établissement de santé le 31 mars, au terme de sa grossesse. Elle a rendu l’âme plusieurs heures après son arrivée au service de la maternité.
Une partie du personnel dont la responsabilité serait engagée dans cette affaire a déjà fait l’objet de mesures conservatoires à l’issue d’une enquête administrative diligentée par le ministère de la Santé et de l’Action sociale.
Le volet judiciaire a dans la foulée été entamé avec l’audition par la police de membres du personnel médical. Cela fait suite à l’information judiciaire ouverte après le dépôt d’une plainte du veuf de la victime pour négligence et non-assistance à personne en danger.
