Une réouverture avortée, le Covid-19 pointé du doigt par l’État

L’infection de professeurs au COVID19 explique l’avortement de la réouverture des classes, parait-il. Cette justification de l’Etat ne convainc guère nos interlocuteurs interrogés sur ces décisions d’ouvrir l’école le 2 juin, puis finalement de ne plus l’ouvrir cette fois sans donner de date pour une éventuelle reprise.

La décision de l’État du Sénégal de renvoyer la date de la réouverture des classes ne surprend pas Mr Diockel Faye, Secrétaire général départemental du Cusems. Ce dernier, par ailleurs, coordonnateur du G7 insiste sur le fait qu’il nous avait prévenu :  »l’heure n’était pas à la réouverture des classes ». Pour M. Diockel, l’État en avançant ne pouvoir ouvrir à cause de l’infection d’enseignants au Covid19 cherche des alibis. En réalité, les conditions propices à la réouverture ne sont pas réunies.

Les enseignants testés positifs au Covid-19, à Ziguinchor, ne sont que la partie reconnue dans l’échec de la reprise des cours prévue le 2 juin. C’est ce que pense Seydi Gassama, Directeur exécutif d’Amnesty/Sénégal. Selon lui, la réalité est que l’école n’était pas prête. « Il n’y a pas lieu d’accabler le gouvernement pour le retour raté d’une partie des élèves à l’école, aujourd’hui. Au-delà des enseignants testés positifs, tout n’était pas en place pour une reprise effective des classes partout dans le pays », écrit-il sur Twitter.

Aujourd’hui les personnes qui s’opposaient à la réouverture des classes semblent avoir raison sur le gouvernement du Sénégal.  La reprise tant vantée par le ministre de l’éducation est un mort-né.  Aucune date n’est retenue pour relancer « le sauvetage de l’année scolaire ».
