Sauf spectaculaire et improbable retournement de situation, Tadej Pogacar lèvera le bras dimanche 20 septembre à Paris pour un sacre historique à plus d’un titre. Il va devenir le premier coureur à rapporter trois tuniques à Paris : la jaune de vainqueur, la blanche de meilleur jeune et le maillot à pois de meilleur grimpeur.
Il va aussi détrôner le prince déchu Egan Bernal, qui a dû abandonner à l’issue de la seizième étape, comme vainqueur le plus jeune de l’après-guerre. Il fêtera lundi ses 22 ans.
