Selon lui, Macky Sall en personne est l’unique responsable de cette situation. Dans un vidéo présentée à la presse, Barthélémy Dias démontre les stratagèmes du pouvoir pour diminuer les avoirs de la commune de Mermoz-Sacré.
Pour justifier ses accusations, le candidat à la mairie de Dakar prend l’exemple du siège de Taxawu Sénégal (la maison de Khalifa) sis Sacré Cœur 2 qui doit payer ses taxes à la commune dirigée par Palla Samb, Fann-Point E. Pour Barthélémy Dias, « le Président Macky Sall est tombé très bas ». Mais ajoute-il, « rien ne m’empêchera d’être candidat à la ville de Dakar ».
Ainsi, le maire de Mermoz Sacré Cœur, qui a déclaré avoir subi des « sales coups » du pouvoir en place pour dissoudre l’énorme travail de sa commune, a lancé un appel à toutes les autorités religieuses et culturelles de Dakar afin que soit stoppée ce qu’il appelle « la folie de Macky Sall ».
