Tous les éléments étaient disponibles pour que le juge Souleymane Téliko et le journaliste Madiambal Diagne soldent leurs comptes, ce jeudi, à la barre du tribunal correctionnel de Dakar. Mais le président du tribunal, Ndary Diop en a décidé autrement. Il a renvoyé l’affaire jusqu’au 3 juin prochain pour plaidoirie.
Motivant sa décision, il a soutenu qu’il y avait 11 avocats constitués dans cette affaire et, si elle est retenue, les autres dossiers ne seront pas jugés. Donc, il a préféré reporter cela jusqu’au 3 juin 2021 à 8h30 mn et, rassure-t-il : « le dossier sera jugé avant la mise en état des autres affaires inscrites au rôle ». Contrairement à la première audience, le journaliste Madiambal Diagne, prévenu dans cette affaire, a comparu devant le prétoire, avec des piles de documents. Certainement, ses preuves. A ses côtés, le magistrat et non moins plaignant, Souleymane Téliko était prêt à démonter les accusations portées contre sa personne. Les avocats des deux parties également étaient tous prêts à plaider l’affaire. Hélas !
En effet, cette affaire fait suite à la sortie de Madiambal Diagne portant des accusations sur la personne du juge. « « C’est très facile, devant les médias, de se présenter en parangon de vertu et d’éthique mais, dans les comportements de tous les jours, est ce qu’on l’est », a expliqué Madiambal Diagne. Il poursuit : « le président de l’UMS actuel a été juge des chambres africaines extraordinaires qui ont jugé Hussein Habré. Il a été épinglé par l’Union européenne dans un rapport officiel pour avoir perçu des frais de mission pour aller au Tchad alors qu’il a été totalement pris en charge par le Gouvernement tchadien. L’Union européenne a protesté devant le Gouvernement du Sénégal. Sidy Kaba était ministre de la Justice et Souleymane Téliko avait remboursé », avait déclaré le journaliste.
