La Sen’eau, l’actuelle société en charge de la distribution de l’eau en milieu urbain et péri urbain de Dakar est vraiment un cas pour beaucoup de Dakarois. Cet étudiant du nom de B.Ndoye que nous avons rencontré à l’école des officiers de la gendarmerie de ouakam, peint un tableau noir de la situation qui atteste de leur souffrance. « Nous n’avons plus d’eau depuis plus de quatre jours maintenant et pour nous approvisionner, nous sommes obligés de venir jusqu’ici( camp militaire ouakam) » ou nous réveiller vers 1 heure du matin pour espérer quelques gouttes de ce liquide précieux . Selon lui la situation que les populations vivent est très chaotique.
D’après le communiqué de la société Sen’Eau, les perturbations dans la distribution de l’eau sont dues à une fuite sur la conduite principale, provoquée par une entreprise effectuant des travaux sur un chantier du BRT (Bus Rapide Transit) au rond-point Liberté 6. Et que ces perturbations vont d’une baisse de pression au manque d’eau total dans les localités suivantes : Liberté 6, Sacré-Cœur, Fann, Ouakam, Almadies, Yoff, Mermoz La Sen’Eau renseigne que «toutes les équipes sont mobilisées pour les opérations de réparation en cours, afin de réduire au minimum les effets de ces perturbations». La Sen’Eau, qui avait présenté ses excuses aux populations impactées, avait annoncé le retour à la normale dès la fin des travaux, dans la journée du vendredi 18 juin.
Mais jusqu’aujourd’hui 21 juin 2021 certains quartiers sont toujours privés de ce liquide précieux. Une situation insupportable nous dit Monsieur Samb, il ajoute que la sen’eau a atteint ses limites et qu’elle doit rendre le tablier.
