Ce dimanche 15 aout, un accident a eu lieu en plein centre ville de Kaolack, sur la route nationale numéro 1. Un camion malien a percuté une moto Jakarta avant de finir sur sa course sur un taxi. Il y a eu 4 morts et un blessé grave, a appris notre source.
Trainé sur plusieurs mètres à savoir de l’hôtel Arc-en-Ciel au devanture du Cœur de Ville, le véhicule de transport urbain s’est retrouvé sous le camion malien complètement endommagé.
Les 4 corps sans vie ont été évacués vers le centre hospitalier régional El Hadji Ibrahima Niass de Kaolack par les Sapeurs Pompiers.
Après ce drame, la population, très encolère, a saccagé plus de 5 camions maliens stationnés dans les parages. Il a fallu l’intervention de la police et de la gendarmerie pour rétablir l’ordre.
