Le président de la République, Macky Sall, a rendu hommage à l’ex-Médiateur de la République, Alioune Badara Cissé, décédé samedi à Dakar, des suites d’une maladie, saluant la mémoire d’un « homme de conviction’’ et d’’’un brave compagnon’’.
‘’Je suis très peiné d’apprendre le décès de Me Alioune Badara Cissé, membre fondateur de l’APR, ancien Ministre des affaires étrangères et ancien Médiateur de la République. Je rends hommage à un homme de conviction et un brave compagnon’’, a écrit le chef de l’Etat sur sa page Facebook.
‘’Qu’Allah l’accueille en son Paradis’’, a poursuivi Macky Sall, qui doit rentrer ce dimanche de Berlin (Allemagne), où il vient de participer à la Conférence « Compact avec l’Afrique », à l’invitation de la chancelière allemande Angela Merkel.
Alioune Badara Cissé, dont le mandat à la tête de la Médiature de la République, a pris fin début août, avait été nommé à la tête de cette institution en août 2015.
Auparavant, il avait dirigé le ministère des Affaires étrangères pendant sept mois, après l’accession du président Macky Sall au pouvoir, en 2012. Après son départ de ce ministère, il avait repris sa robe d’avocat.
De 2004 à 2007, il a été successivement conseiller spécial du Premier ministre du Sénégal, directeur de cabinet du ministre des Sports, directeur de cabinet du Premier ministre Macky Sall, Secrétaire général du Gouvernement et commissaire général du Gouvernement près le Conseil d’Etat.
Né le 16 février 1958 à Saint-Louis, il a fait ses études dans sa ville natale, puis à l’Université Cheikh Anta Diop, ainsi qu’en France où il a obtenu plusieurs diplômes.
Admis au barreau de Dakar en 1988, il devient avocat à la cour en 1992. La même année, il effectue un séjour académique à Minnesota, aux Etats-Unis.
Connu pour son franc parler, Alioune Badara Cissé, surnommé ABC, se distinguait aussi par sa forte personnalité.
Il fut membre fondateur de l’Alliance pour la République (APR, au pouvoir).
