Les Etats-Unis exhortent tous les partis, groupes et individus à s’abstenir de toute violence et de tout discours de haine ou de division, et à privilégier le dialogue afin de trouver des solutions paisibles à leurs désaccords. Nous exhortons les forces de sécurité à respecter et sauvegarder les droits de tous les citoyens, y compris celui de participer à des manifestations pacifiques.

Nous appelons le Gouvernement à enquêter pleinement sur les morts associées aux récentes manifestations, et à rendre publics les résultats desdites enquêtes. Nous appelons tous en Côte d’Ivoire à adhérer à l’état de droit, et les autorités ivoiriennes à assurer des processus judiciaires équitables.
