Le tirage au sort de la CAN 2021 reporté à une date ultérieure

Les Lions ne connaîtront pas leurs premiers adversaires à la CAN avant le mois prochain. Le tirage au sort de composition des groupes, initialement prévu le 25 juin prochain, a été reporté à la demande de la Confédération Africaine de Football et le Comité local d’organisation (COCAN 21) a approuvé la requête.

Officiellement, le report obéit à des raisons logistiques liées à la pandémie de Covid-19.

Une nouvelle date sera annoncée en temps opportun, annonce la CAF, dans un communiqué officiel publié sur son site web.

La CAF dit continuer de « travailler avec ses partenaires, le gouvernement camerounais et le Comité local d’organisation dans l’optique de faire de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations TotalEnergies Cameroun 2021, un événement réussi et une grande célébration du football africain. »
