A mon avis,

The military life has an appeal for those who seek adventure, thrills
as well as new worlds that they can explore and the feeling
of belonging and belonging to the esprit de corps. That
is the idealistic goal of both women and men who join the ranks as
sailors, soldiers, and airmen. However, the reality is different when you include
the spouse and family. Long periods of separation, small homecomings and risks of being involved in wars affect even the most secure marriages.
How does anyone’s marriage survive in the current military environment of
rapid deployment life? Communication dedication, commitment, and hard work are the most important
factors in any relationship and particularly important when it comes to the military.
The armed forces of today aren’t the same as when our parents and grandparents served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.
The attitude of the military towards families was once, « if we wanted you to have a family, we would have given you a family! » Those days are long gone and
senior leaders recognize today that Strong Marriages + Strong families = A
strong military (Member). In the Department of Defense has a system of support in place for service
members and their families. The system provides counseling and support for the issues unique to
the service life. Each branch is equipped with a variety of support group and counseling services to tackle a variety of problems facing families who have been separated and deployed.
They do care and they do want their soldiers as
well as their families, and they have done it extremely well.
The one thing they don’t do well is market their support information and networks.
Schindler’s book, Operation Military Family: How to Strengthen Your Military Marriage and Save Your Family provides a guide that has
resources at your finger tips. It is an insightful guide to the support and
services that are available to all military branches.
More than a book, Operation Military Family:
How to Improve Your Military Marriage and Save Your Family presents the
emotional and physical challenges of a variety of military couples as they prepare
for deployment, become separated by deployment, and the process of reunification for the couples and
families upon return. Schindler’s book presents stories of the raw emotions
and the internal battles that couples dealt with throughout the process in which these couples grew stronger in their
marriages despite their challenges.
