Communiqué Des Évêques De La Province Ecclésiastique de Dakar.

Suite au message à la nation du chef de l’État, SE Macky Sall, les Évêques De La Province Ecclésiastique de Dakar ont fait part à SUNUPOST, leur communiqué en ces termes. ( Rf documents )

Chers fidèles du Christ, il y a de cela une semaine, précisément le 06 mai 2020, nous vous avons adressé, nous, vos Pères Évêques, un Communiqué dans le cadre de la lutte contre la pandémie du Covid-19.
Nous avons encore aujourd’hui la lourde responsabilité de nous adresser à vous, dans l’urgence du moment, au sujet de la position de l’Église du Sénégal dans la gestion de cette maladie du Coronavirus.
Par le présent Communiqué, nous vous réitérons toute notre proximité paternelle et pastorale en ces moments de dures épreuves et, par la même occasion, nous vous encourageons à tenir ferme dans les efforts déjà consentis, dans l’espérance de venir à bout du Covid-19.
Nous avons tous accueilli, avec attention et respect, le Message du Chef de l’État, Son Excellence Monsieur Macky SALL, dans son adresse à la Nation, en date du 11 Mai 2020, dans laquelle nous retenons « la réouverture des lieux du culte ».
Nous, vos Pères Évêques du Sénégal, comptons rester fidèles à notre devoir de protéger partout
et en toutes circonstances la santé et la vie des populations. C’est pourquoi, compte tenu de l’évolution actuelle de la pandémie, nous maintenons toutes les dispositions déjà prises dans nos communiqués précédents, notamment celui en date du 06 mai 2020, dans lequel nous vous disions expressément ceci :
« Nous maintenons, jusqu’à une date plus favorable, toutes les dispositions antécédemment prises dans nos différents Communiqués, notamment celle relative à la suspension des Messes de caractère public ». Cette mesure concerne aussi le grand rendez-vous du Pèlerinage National à Poponguine qui devrait se dérouler le weekend de la Pentecôte, du 30 mai au 01 Juin 2020.
Nous demandons à tous de vivre en conséquence. Comme l’a rappelé le Chef de l’État, dans sa
déclaration, « plus que jamais, la responsabilité de chacune et de chacun de nous est engagée ».
Nous vous encourageons à persévérer dans l’effort, sachant que le résultat est au bout de cet
effort.
Nous implorons la grâce divine sur vous tous qui habitez notre cher Pays le Sénégal : les pouvoirs publics, les forces de défense et de sécurité, le personnel soignant et les malades, les acteurs de la solidarité multiforme, les familles, les isolés, les hommes et les femmes de bonne volonté.
Ensemble, dans la prudence et la sérénité, puissions-nous tenir jusqu’au bout, pour le salut de tous. Rappelons-nous cette parole de Jésus à ses disciples « Celui qui persévère jusqu’à la fin sera sauvé » (Mt 24, 13).
Chers fidèles Chrétiens, continuez donc, dans la persévérance, à entretenir votre vie de foi, à travers les moments de prière en famille, dans un esprit de communion spirituelle avec l’Église Universelle. Avec vous, nous, vos Pasteurs, Évêques et Prêtres, restons en communion intime de cœur et d’esprit, spécialement quand nous disons la Sainte Messe en privé à vos intentions et à travers nos différentes célébrations qui vous sont accessibles par les Médias.
Évitons les déplacements non nécessaires et respectons les gestes ou mesures barrières édictées par les autorités compétentes.
Dieu, le Tout-Puissant, se souviendra de nous. Il nous délivra du mal du Covid-19.
Qu’en ce jour du 14 mai 2020, « Journée de jeûne et de prière, et d’œuvres de charité » décrétée par le Saint Père, le Pape François, Dieu, par l’intercession de la Bienheureuse Vierge Marie, Notre Dame de Fatima, nous vienne en aide.
Avec vous tous, nous accueillons cette assurance de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ : « Courage ! J’ai vaincu le monde ». (Jn. 16, 33)
