Accident De Yoff : Le conducteur Et Le Propriétaire Du Camion Condamnés à Une Peine Ferme

Le tribunal des flagrants délits de Dakar a, ce mercredi, jugé le chauffeur du camion qui, le 22 juillet dernier, avait dérapé et tué trois personnes à Yoff. Les deux ont écopé de six mois ferme, d’une amende et de la suspension de leurs permis.

Poursuivi pour homicide involontaire, blessures involontaires et défaut de maitrise, le chauffeur Ndiogou Diop a, devant le prétoire, regretté son acte. Mais malgré cela, le juge lui a infligé une peine de 6 mois ferme et une amende de 56 mille francs CFA après qu’il l’a reconnu coupable des chefs à lui reprocher. Le juge a également ordonné la suspension du permis du prévenu pour une durée de 8 mois à compter de son élargissement de prison.

Le tribunal des flagrants délits de Dakar a infligé la même sanction au propriétaire du camion, Pape Diop, reconnu coupable de défaut de visite technique. Ce dernier a, devant la barre, avoué que lors de la dernière visite technique, on lui avait signalé des problèmes de frein. Mais, soutient-il, il l’avait réparé avant de remettre le véhicule en circulation. Ce, précise-t-il, sans retourner au Service des mines.
Le parquet, jugeant les faits graves, avait requis 1 an ferme contre les prévenus.

Pour rappel, le 22 juillet dernier, le camion rempli de béton avait dérapé et foncé sur un marchand ambulant. Poursuivant sa folle course, le véhicule est monté sur un taxi avant de se renverser. Coincés, deux enfants qui étaient avec leur oncle sont décédés.
