Dans un communiqué publié, ce lundi 2 mai 2022, le Gouvernement du Mali « dénonce » les accords militaires avec la France. Une procédure qui ouvre la voie à l’annulation de ces accords passés avec la France et sur la base desquels les troupes françaises opèrent au Mali depuis 2013.
Maliweb.net – La détérioration des relations entre les deux pays est qualifiée de « profonde » par Bamako dans son communiqué du jour. Depuis un certain temps, révèle le communiqué signé par le porte-parole du gouvernement, le Mali dit « constater avec regret », certains incidents relatifs à la coopération militaire entre Paris et Bamako.
D’abord, la décision « unilatérale » des autorités françaises de suspendre des opérations conjointes avec les militaires maliens. Aussi, les hommes du Colonel Assimi Goïta disent avoir constaté de « multiples violations de l’espace aérien malien opérées par des aéronefs militaires français ». Au total, le Mali dénonce 50 violations de son espace aérien en quatre mois. Une violation qui ne respecte même pas la zone aérienne d’interdiction temporaire imposée par l’armée malienne.
Autre motif de dénonciation des Accords militaires avec Paris, les autorités maliennes n’arrivent pas à obtenir la révision desdits accords malgré les multiples relances. Alors que les autorités de Bamako affirment avoir envoyé depuis quatre mois leurs amendements, en France, on peine à en faire autant. Pire, une tentative serait en cours pour saboter ou même ralentir le processus de révision de ses accords. Le communiqué du gouvernement dénonce une « manœuvre dilatoire consistant à demander une réunion d’experts » pour la relecture du traité de défense.
Pour toutes ces raisons d’ « atteintes flagrantes » à sa souveraineté, Bamako « dénonce avec effet immédiat » ses accords militaires de coopération avec la France. En principe, la dénonciation met fin aux accords militaires entre les deux pays. Cependant, l’article 26 alinéa 4 du Traité de coopération de juillet 2014 entre les deux pays, stipule que la « dénonciation prend effet six mois après réception de la notification par l’autre Partie ».
