Dans les tribunes de Walfquotidien, Youssou Touré appelle le président Macky à prendre ses responsabilités et de régler ‹‹ cette question avec célérité et sévérité ››. Pour lui, ses autres camarades ‹‹ devraient être traduits en commission de discipline et exclus du parti ››. l’ancien secrétaire d’Etat à l’alphabétisation et aux langues nationales juge ces insultes d’autant plus inacceptables qu’il y a des enfants qui se lèvent chaque matin sans avoir le petit-déjeuner, des femmes qui se réveillent à 5 heures à la recherche de la dépense et quand vous sortez de Dakar, c’est la misère et des gens se permettent de jouer avec la République et de s’embourgeoiser. Youssou Touré argue qu’on ne peut ‹‹ continuer sur cette lancée. On se doit de respecter les sénégalais, c’est un minimum. De ce point de vue, c’est très dommage. C’est indigne d’une république et de notre part.
