Les 23 personnes arrêtées, mercredi dernier dans les villages de Tobène, Gueyennee et Macka, dans la commune de Méouane, ont été déférées devant le Procureur de Thiès, ce vendredi. Selon leur avocat Me Khoureychi Ba, ces villageois seront jugés vendredi 21 août devant le tribunal des flagrants délits de Thiès.
À souligner que “Les chefs de village de Tobène, Kithiane et Mbenguène ainsi que les mineurs, soit 4 personnes, ont bénéficié d’une mesure de liberté provisoire”.
Les mis en causes sont poursuivis pour rassemblements illicites, violences à agents dans l’exercice de leurs fonctions, incitation à la rébellion.
Rappelons que ces personnes avaient été interpellées par les forces de l’ordre suite à leur résistance face aux travaux des géomètres qui étaient venus dans les villages de la zone, qui fait l’objet d’un litige foncier, pour procéder à des délimitations de leurs champs qui sont mis au profit des Industries chimiques du Sénégal (ICS).
