Les conseillers municipaux de la commune de Yeumbeul Sud contestent le projet de découpage de la région de Dakar. Lequel devrait aboutir à l’érection de Keur Massar, jusqu’ici polarisé par la Ville de Pikine, en département en plein exercice.
Sur le projet de décret de ce découpage, les communes de Yeumbeul Sud que dirige le maire libéral, Bara Gaye, Yeumbeul Nord et Malika devraient être rattachées au nouveau département de Keur Massar. Mais, ce projet n’enchante pas les élus locaux de Yeumbeul Sud. Sur l’extrait de délibération, portant leur avis sur ce projet de découpage, deux décisions ont été notées.
Sur le 1er, ils notent : ’’ le conseil municipal émet un avis défavorable sur le projet de découpage de la région de Dakar’’. Sur le second, indique le document parvenu à emedia : « le Maire est responsable de l’exécution de la présente délibération qui sera publiée et communiquée partout où besoin sera. »
Pour rappel, ce projet découpage est dans le circuit administratif depuis un certains temps. Il découle d’une promesse du chef de l’État, l’année dernière, aux populations de Keur Massar qui étaient très affectées par les inondations.
