Selon le procureur de la République de Chartres, Rémi Coutin, les enquêteurs ont estimé que les déclarations de Mamadou S. sont très incohérentes et que le récit fait par le présumé meurtrier ne correspond pas à la réalité.
Indiquant que de lourds soupçons pèsent sur lui, il a estimé qu’il pourrait s’agir d’une féminicide.
D’après certaines informations, le mis en cause, serveur à Paris, est actuellement en chômage partiel et n’a pas de casier judiciaire. Les premiers éléments de l’enquête n’ont pas montré que le couple avait des problèmes, rapporte « l’AS ».
