Les électeurs algériens sont appelés aux urnes le 12 juin à la faveur des élections législatives. Le pays vit depuis jeudi au rythme de la campagne électorale y relative. Elle prendra fin le 9 juin, soit trois jours avant la date du scrutin.
L’Autorité nationale indépendante des élections dit avoir retenu 1 500 listes dominées par des candidatures indépendantes alors que 1 200 autres ont été rejetées. Il fallait montrer patte blanche, les personnes soupçonnées de corruption n’ayant pas le droit de concourir selon la loi électorale.
Mais ce scrutin ne fait pas l’unanimité. Il est contesté par les partis d’opposition laïcs ou de gauche ainsi que par les manifestants du Hirak qui appellent à un changement de système dans le pays.
Pour cette frange, les élections ne sauraient résoudre la crise multidimensionnelle que connaît l’Algérie. Ces acteurs réclament, l’ouverture d’un dialogue inclusif » et le respect des libertés fondamentales.
Pas sûr que le pouvoir, décidé à faire respecter son calendrier électoral, prendra en compte leur desiderata. D’ailleurs, le chef d’état-major, le général Saïld Chengriha, a mis en garde contre « les aventuriers et contre toute tentative de porter atteinte à l’unité nationale ».
La répression ne faiblit pas, désormais, les manifestations du mouvement Hirak doivent être autorisées par les des autorités. Une interdiction en filigrane du mouvement soulignent ses partisans.
Ces élections, qui auraient dû avoir lieu en 2022, mais ont été avancées, apparaissent comme une tentative du régime de reprendre la main fac-e au retour du Hirak dans la rue depuis fin février.
