Hôpital Fann : Un Patient Guéri De La Covid-19 Offre Du Matériel De Réanimation D’Une Valeur De 15 Millions

L’hôpital universitaire de Fann a reçu vendredi d’un patient guéri de la Covid-19 un matériel médical d’un coût de 15 millions de francs Cfa destiné au service de réanimation du Centre de traitement des épidémies (CTE), a constaté l’APS.
 
‘’Ce sont des consommables de réanimation qu’on a pris le temps de chercher avec notre bienfaiteur sur la base de notre expression de besoins ’’, a expliqué le Directeur de l’hôpital de Fann Dr Cheikh Tacko Diop.
 
Le Directeur de l’hôpital qui a tenu à organiser une cérémonie de remise symbolique veut à travers ’’ce geste spontané d’un citoyen inspirer également d’autres bienfaiteurs qui ont peut-être les moyens de le faire et n’y pensent pas pour soutenir les actions de l’Etat au niveau des Centres de traitement des épidémies’’.
 
‘’Ce geste va inspirer pas mal de sénégalais qui viendront à la rescousse de cet hôpital mais également d’autres parce que l’Etat ne peut pas tout faire’’, a-t–il dit.
 
Pour Dr Cheikh Tacko Diop, des hôpitaux ont reçu un contrecoup avec la Covid-19 puisqu’en termes de recettes attendues il y a quelques petites difficultés.
 
Faisant la situation en fin 2021, les services administratifs de l’Hôpital Fann se sont rendus compte qu’en termes de prévisions de recettes, il y a une perte sèche de milliards de Francs Cfa.
 
‘’C’est en cela que ce geste est capital et doit être un exemple pour tous ceux qui peuvent le faire’’, a-t -il encore dit.
 
Le CTE a connu une baisse assez importante des cas mais depuis quelques jours il y a une augmentation exponentielle du nombre, a souligné le responsable de l’hôpital.
 
Aussi, appelle-t-il les populations à davantage s’armer en respectant les gestes barrières, et à tout faire pour se faire vacciner.
 
Le bienfaiteur, Omar Baba Bâ, Ingénieur en électrotechnique, la soixantaine considère son geste comme ‘’un devoir citoyen’’.
 
Hospitalisé pendant tout le mois de janvier 2021 dont une dizaine de jours en réanimation, il a vu ‘’dans quelles conditions les valeureux agents du corps médical s’évertuaient à prendre en charge les malades’’.
 
C’est pourquoi, il a tenu à faire ce don pour participer au ‘’combat mené par les médecins au service des populations’’.
