Un départ enregistré dans la coalition Yewwi Askan Wi (YAW). Il s’agit d’Abdoulaye Pouye dit « Obama » du Pcs/Jëngu Tabax. Il l’a fait savoir ce lundi 1er novembre dans un communiqué. Le démissionnaire a toutefois révélé les raisons de sa décision. Tout en déclarant avoir rejoint la coalition du Parti démocratique sénégalais (PDS) et Cie pour les élections locales du 23 janvier 2022. «Depuis trois semaines, nous étions dans la coalition Yewwi Askan Wi, à travers le Pcs/ Jëngu Tabax. En l’absence de consensus, sept candidatures ont été envoyées au niveau de la commission nationale d’investiture pour arbitrage et deux ont été présélectionnées. Faute de consensus, la bonne marche de la coalition a été bloquée pendant plusieurs jours, aussi bien au niveau communal qu’au sommet», a soutenu Abdoulaye Pouye.
Il poursuit : «Pour décanter cette situation, mes collaborateurs et moi avons décidé de retirer notre candidature et de laisser notre jeune frère Pape Ousseynou Pouye mener le combat à la tête de Yewwi Askan Wi. Nous lui souhaitons bonne continuation.»En revanche, annonce Obama, «nous avons pris la décision de répondre favorablement à la main tendue des responsables de la coalition Wallu Sénégal qui nous ont proposé de conduire les destinées de ladite coalition pour les élections municipales du 23 janvier 2022. Bon courage à la coalition Yewwi Askan Wi et tous nos remerciements à la coalition Wallu Sénégal ».
