La commune de Pété située dans le départementde Podor, par le biais de son valeureux fils Abdoul Anne vice- consul du Sénégal à Marseille et ses partenaires « lions club » (Marseille), a reçu, un important lot d’équipements médicaux d’une valeur de 70 millions de francs CFA, destiné au district sanitaire de PÉTÉ. Ce don a pour l’objectif de relever sensiblement ‘’le plateau technique du district, qui est composé de trois zones : l’axe du goudron, le Diéri et l’île à Morfil. Ce cadeau précieux est composé de lits d’hospitalisation, de machines d’hémodialyses, de machines d’ophtalmologique, de frigos, de ballons pour l’eau, de brancards et d’autres matériels de soins.
Outre ce don de monsieur Abdoul Anne, l’amicale de Pete en France a apporté une contribution supplémentaire de plusieurs millions de F CFA pour l’acheminement du matériel. Le convoyage de ces matériaux a été facilité par le consul général à Marseille, le chef de poste et en grande partie le ministre des finances et du budget Abdoulaye Daouda Diallo, par ailleurs maire de la commune de Bocke localité située à 7 km de Pété.
La mise à disposition de ces équipements témoigne, encore une fois, de la volonté des Péténabé d’appuyer le district sanitaire de la commune et de leur engagement constant auprès du gouvernement sénégalais pour améliorer les résultats de santé à travers le pays.
Le district de Pété dispose de services spécialisés en chirurgie, gynécologie obstétrique et imagerie médicale. Avec une capacité de 50 lits, la structure est également dotée d’une polyclinique ayant une unité de consultations, d’un laboratoire, d’une banque de sang, d’un cabinet dentaire et d’un Service d’accueil des urgences. Les autres services disponibles sont le bloc opératoire, le pôle mère-enfant, l’hospitalisation, le bloc administratif et celui technique constitué de la buanderie et de la maintenance.
Monsieur Abdoul Anne est un acteur clé du développement à Pété. Depuis sa nomination, M. Anne travaille pour améliorer les conditions de vie au quotidien des Péténabés dans l’accompagnement de ses efforts de développement à long terme notamment dans le domaine de l’éducation et de la santé.
