La détention par des particuliers d’armes est interdite à partir de ce lundi, selon un arrêté du ministre de l’Intérieur.
Le décret pris par Antoine Félix Diome, concerne les détenteurs d’armes de toutes catégories et de matières explosives, qui devront s’en dessaisir dans un délai de deux mois, soit durant la campagne électorale.
« Est interdit sur l’ensemble du territoire national, dans la période allant du 20 décembre 2021 au 20 février 2022, le port d’armes de toutes catégories et de matières explosives », renseigne l’article premier du texte.
Cette nouvelle mesure précise qu’ « aucune arme, quelle que soit sa catégorie ou sa nature, ne pourra être transportée hors des domiciles ou des lieux de travail ».
« Cette interdiction est applicable aux nationaux, ainsi qu’aux étrangers ayant leur résidence habituelle au Sénégal et titulaires de port d’arme », selon l’article 2 du même arrêté.
