Peter R. de Vries, journaliste néerlandais spécialisé dans les affaires criminelles, est decédé des suites de ses blessures ce jeudi 15 juillet, selon un communiqué de la famille publié par le média néerlandais RTL. « Peter s’est battu jusqu’au bout, mais n’a pas pu gagner la bataille. Il est mort, entouré de ceux qui l’aiment », ont déclaré les proches du journaliste.

Le présentateur de télévision était hospitalisé entre la vie et la mort depuis le 6 juillet. Il avait été touché par balles à la tête lors d’une attaque en plein centre-ville d’Amsterdam. Porte-parole de victimes de la mafia néerlandaise à plusieurs reprises, son attaque avait été ressentie aux Pays-Bas comme un véritable choc
