Commissaire de police divisionnaire de classe exceptionnelle, Seydou Bocar Yague jouit d’une belle réputation d’excellent enquêteur, notamment lors de son passage à la Direction de la Police judiciaire (DPJ). Depuis près de trois ans (aout 2018), il faisait office de Directeur général adjoint de la Police.
Son ascension fait de lui la 2e autorité de la Police à passer de ce poste à la station majeure de la Direction générale, après Ousmane Sy qui avait remplacé Oumar Maal en 2018 après avoir été son adjoint.
